What this policy covers
Thermal Bellingham Insulation Company is an insulation contractor in Bellingham, WA. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, call us or ask for an estimate, how we use it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
It applies to this website and to the contact we have with you about a job. If you'd like to know more about who we are before you reach out, our About page has that.
Information you give us
Most of what we know about you is what you tell us when you fill out our contact form, call or email. That usually means your name, phone number, email address, the address of the house and a description of what's going on, like a drafty room, a hot upstairs or an old attic you want looked at.
You might also send photos of your attic or crawl space, or tell us about access, pets or the best times to come out. During an estimate or a job, we may note details about your house, such as how much insulation is already up there and its condition, because we need that to give you an accurate price and do the work right.
Our contact form is run by an outside form service, so the information you type into it passes through that service before it reaches us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours can collect some basic information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, the pages you looked at, how long you stayed and the site that sent you here. We use analytics tools for this so we can see which pages people find useful and which ones need work.
Cookies are small files your browser stores so a site can remember things between visits. Our site and the tools on it may use cookies for analytics and to keep the site working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still let you read our pages and reach us.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to answer your question, set up an estimate, schedule and do the work, send invoices and follow up after the job. If you call or write with a problem after we've been out, your job details help us figure out what we did and fix it quickly.
We use website data in general terms to improve the site. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't rent or trade it to other businesses for their marketing.
When we share it
We share information only with the companies that help us run the business, such as our form service, analytics provider, scheduling, payment and accounting tools, and only as much as they need to do that job for us.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or if the business is ever sold or reorganized, in which case this policy would still apply to what we hold.
How long we keep it
If you contact us and we never do a job, we keep your details only as long as it makes sense to follow up on your request, then we delete what we no longer need.
If we do work at your house, we keep the job records longer, because we need them for tax and business records and to answer questions about the work down the road. Website analytics are kept in summary form and aren't used to identify you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. We'll do that unless we have to keep something for legal, tax or business record reasons, and if so, we'll tell you what and why.
If we ever send you follow-up messages you don't want, tell us and we'll stop. You can also control cookies through your browser at any time.
How we protect your information
We limit who on our team can see customer information and use reputable services to store it. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise nothing will ever go wrong, but if something does, we'll deal with it and let you know when the law requires us to.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for adults arranging work on a home or building. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools or the way we work changes. The current version will always be on this page, and if a change is significant, we'll make that clear here.
How to raise a privacy question or concern
If you have a question about your information, want to see or delete it, or think we've handled it wrong, reach out through our contact page or call (360) 255-0276. We're available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 11 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6 AM to 10 PM.
Tell us what you're asking for and how to reach you, and we'll get back to you within 1 business day to sort it out.
